おなじ中学校

「おなじ中学校」は1987年に千葉県柏市で同じ中学校の同級生MC MOTSUとMC SAI、隣の中学校の友人DJ SUDAを中心に結成されたヒップホップバンド「ニップス」が前身である。

B Fresh主催の代々木チョコレートシティ Kickin' Aliveや原宿の歩行者天国などでライムスターやGANG-Oなど共演し、ヒップホップ黎明期に活動を重ねていった。

そこから次第に活動が下火になっていたバンドだが、2007年、主にクラブ「目黒食堂」で活動するために「柏ニップス」と改名して活動を再開した。しかしそこからまた活動が下火になり、悠久の時が経った。

2022年7月、MOTSUの地元柏であるイベントが開催され、MOTSUがDJとしてソロで出演した際にプレイした曲「バンボーバンボーバンバンボー」が、会場に来ていたAVEXのプロデューサーの目に留まった。

プロデューサー曰く「あの曲ヤバいっすね」ということになり、急遽同年11月に配信でリリースすることが決定した。

同曲をリリースにあたりバンド名を「おなじ中学校」に変更した。

The predecessor of "Same Junior High School" was the hip-hop band "Nips" formed in 1987 in Kashiwa City, Chiba Prefecture, with Motsu and SAI, classmates from the same junior high school, and DJ Sudha, a friend from the next junior high school.

The band performed together with RYHMESTER, GANG-O, and others at B Fresh's Yoyogi Chocolate City Kickin' Alive and Harajuku's pedestrian paradise, and was active in the early days of hip-hop.

The band's activities gradually declined from there.　But In 2007, the band changed their name to "Kashiwa Nips" and resumed their activities, mainly at the club "Meguro Shokudo". However, their activities went downhill again from there, and a long time passed.

In July 2022, an event was held in Motsu's hometown of Kashiwa, and the song "Bang bo Bang bo Bang Bang bo," which Motsu played as a solo DJ, caught the attention of an AVEX producer who was at the event.

The producer said, "That song is badass," and the decision was made to release it for distribution in November of the same year.

The band's name was changed to "Same Junior High School" for the release of the song.
